Not many people would bother with that, no matter how new their community is, so +1 from me.Anyway.I feel it would be prudent to give new recruits (I ain't calling them whiteshields until their prefix gets changed) some guidance when they first log onto their new guard character, beyond what gear to get.Lore wise we all know our shit before we get deployed, but the person controlling the character does not and that led to some rather funny quotes and a recruit getting his gobber smacked since no one told him rushing the enemy alone isn't a good idea.At the very least, i feel recruits should be taught the following either IC or OOC.Chain of CommandBasic formations (Wedge, Column, Line, Box, etc)Basic infantry tactics such as flanking and bounding overwatchRadio usage and frequency (Nothing more than how to turn it on and set the frequency since that seemed to be a recurring theme)Things to avoid (Saluting an officer on the battlefield, insulting an NCO by calling him sir, going rambo, etc) This list covers the basics and will take roughly 10 minutes to go through, depending on how detailed you wish to be. For extra efficiency you can gather up all online guardsmen and teach them at the same time.

Just as I arrived. Usually (under word "Usually" I mean how recrooting was on military servers) people who want join marines/rebels/stormtroopers were wating for NCO to train them and their Rp skills and if they have passed - they make new, whitelisted character with the same name.(I changed many military communities, so I don't need your trainings But really I need to refresh formations, this is my weakness)

Sicarius on Sept 14, 2014 9:31:14 GMT That's certainly on the to-do list, and you will probably find that by the end of this week we have such a system in place; so watch this space and you will find updates! But keep your ideas coming in, they could be very good reminders or suggestions not priorly thought of.
